RESTING METABOLIC RATE TESTING

A resting metabolic rate test uses respiratory gas exchange measurement to assess the resting energy requirement (calories) and type of fuels burned by the body at rest (fat & carbohydrate). In the RMR protocol we use a gold-standard metabolic measuring system during a 20-minute period of rest. Results can be applied to assess nutrition requirements and examine the body’s adaptation to nutrition and exercise regimens.
